Bang opposite to the popular and the ever crowded Kamat Lokruchi. To beat the crowd, we went to Kasturi, it was quite and pleasant.
The specials Akki Rotti and Ragi Rotti were very good. The sour chutney served is a uppsaar paste and is nice. The masala dosa was also nice.
Since we went late at 10.30 am, the idli vada was not upto the mark and they did not charge us for this.
They have a women only staff which was kind of nice though we had a rookie initially and later served by one of the smart stewards who I had met in Kamat Lokaruchi on an earlier visit.
The food is simpler here but it is nicer to avoid the mad rush if you like a quieter, chilled out journey.
A pretty good place to grab a meal on the way to Mysore. They have a good, open ambience. The food is perfectly priced. They are very courteous and polite while serving. Some of the items to try are their Puri-sabzi, Masala Dosa and definitely their filter coffee!
decent place to have breakfast, dosa, idlis and vada are decent and good. People who serve food are courteous and price is not too high. It's just opposite to kamath lokaruchi
